The Turkish Industry and Business Association (TUSIAD) organized a Competition Law Workshop on the "Vertical restraints in competition law". The workshop was opening with a panel discussion that included Şahin Ardıyok, Partner and the Head of BASEAK Competition and Regulatory team, Didem Uluç, Competition Expert at the Turkish Competition Authority, Gökşin Kekevi, Competition Compliance Manager at Arçelik, and Att. Gönenç Gürkaynak. After the panel, a Q&A session took place with all attendees.

Şahin Ardıyok gave a presentation on the “Last status of the vertical restraints in Turkey and in the world”. His presentation focused on resale price maintenance, non-competition clauses, restrictions on passive sales, as well as on most-favored-nation clauses in the internet economy and automotive sector.

Didem Uluç spoke about the exemption for vertical agreements, and gave a presentation titled “Communiqué No: 2002/2 and Vertical Restraints in the light of the Vertical Agreements Guideline”.

Gökşin Kekevi concentrated on resale price maintenance, and his presentation was titled “Vertical Restraints in Competition Law”.
