Balcıoğlu Selçuk Ardıyok Keki Attorney Partnership (BASEAK) partner and the Competition, Public Policy and Regulation Department’s leader Şahin Ardıyok participated in the online conference titled “International Conference on Space and Telecommunications Law” that was coordinated by a law students’ platform, ELSA Poland, on March 26.

With his experience and know-how of more than 20 years in the telecommunications sector, Mr. Ardıyok opened a door into the telecommunications, media and technology fields for law students around various European countries. During the conference conducted in English, prominent international lawyers from the sector took part as speakers. Mr. Ardıyok made a presentation with the topic of “Telecommunications law, recent discussions and opportunities”, where he summarized the history of regulations in the sector with examples from the USA, EU and UK. Followed by this, he discussed recent topics of the sector. In this respect, he gave insight on the topics such as 5G, Big Tech, European Electronic Communications Code and data privacy. Finally, Mr. Ardıyok highlighted career opportunities for future lawyers in light of his long-term practices in public and private sectors as well as his academic works.
