On Wednesday, 15 March 2023, Y. Sertaç Serter Ph.D., Counsel in Istanbul office, and Şuayip Öksüz, Senior Associate at Amsterdam office, contributed to the Certificate Program by their presentation titled “Current Issues in Competition Law in terms of Procedural Matters and the Right to a Fair Trial”.
The focus of the presentation, from the perspective of both Turkish competition law and EU competition law, was on the right to a fair trial and the procedural issues to be observed by administrative judicial authorities. Accordingly, the issue was ascertained on the basis of the precedent decisions of the European Court of Human Rights and of the Court of Justice of the European Union, and the proposed solutions were also discussed.
