On 15 May 2025, our Of Counsel Prof. Emin Köksal presented “A Quarter-Century Analysis of Competition Board Infringement Decisions: An AI-Assisted Examination” as part of Istanbul Bilgi University’s Competition Law and Policy Center seminar series.

The presentation offered an empirical and data-driven analysis of 25 years of infringement decisions, amounting more than 3 thousand, by the Turkish Competition Agency, combining legal insight with natural language processing techniques. Emin and his co-authors Cansu Peker and Melih Üyer from our competition and regulation team, introduced a structured evaluation model to score decisions on economic reasoning, evidentiary rigor, and policy impact, uncovering trends in enforcement intensity, decision quality, and procedural evolution over time.
