We are delighted to announce the release of the article, Turkish Competition Authority’s First Hub-and-Spoke Cartel Decision, co-authored by our of-counsel Emin Köksal and partner Şahin Ardıyok, published in the Journal of European Competition Law & Practice. 

The article unpacks the Turkish Competition Authority’s (TCA) first hub-and-spoke cartel decision in which the TCA found five grocery retailers and a cooking oil supplier in breach of Article 4 of the Turkish competition act. Besides documenting the hub-and-spoke cartel, the decision is also interesting in reflecting the TCA’s approach to rising inflation stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. Köksal and Ardıyok provide some analysis that may inform readers about the economic background of the decision.
