Balcıoğlu Selçuk Akman Keki's banking and finance team successfully assisted the Turkey's largest agricultural commodity trading company in connection with the US$450 million syndicated loan arranged by the ABN Amro Bank with a 3-year maturity term.

The Company received a US$450 million syndicated loan from international markets, the US$250 million of which is a committed line with a 3-year maturity term. A US$200 million uncommitted line was provided within the same syndication for the short term needs of the Company and will be used both as working capital financing and refinancing of the US$300 million syndication used previously.

The Company is a major Turkish agricultural commodities processor active in trading in Black Sea countries, Turkey and the south-eastern Mediterranean region. Its majority is owned by a Turkish family based in Gaziantep and Investcorp and EBRD also hold a minority stake in the Company. The loan is noteworthy not only due its size but also due to the fact that it points out a clear sign of trust towards the Turkish economy and the Company.
