Doğan Eymirlioğlu was invited by the International Franchising Association to moderate the roundtable on Middle East, South Asia and Africa during the International Bar Association and International Franchising Association’s 32nd Annual Joint Conference. The event took place in Washington D.C. on May 17-18, 2016.

The Joint Conference is considered the leading international event for franchising professionals and provides an excellent platform to discuss current challenges and opportunities in international franchising. Participants addressed hot topics ranging from changing disclosure and registration requirements to the practical problems of managing lease contracts. Discussion topics also included joint employment claims, joint venture franchising vs. contract franchising, agency law based compensation claims, and the impact of currency control regimes on international franchising transactions.
