Balcıoğlu Selçuk Akman Keki Attorney Partnership (BASEAK) advised the Borrower Crescent Capital on a US$ 95 mio multi-tranche (senior and mezzanine) conventional and murabaha term facility for the acquisition and operation of Çanakçı and Akocak Hydroelectric Power Plants due in June 2030.

The deal won the M&A/Acquisition Finance Deal of the Year Award, which was given by Bonds & Loans Turkey every year to the most innovative transaction in terms of structure and complexity. Garanti Bankası and QInvest were the mandated lead arrangers in the deal. The Award ceremony took place at the Shangri-la Hotel Hotel in Istanbul on 22 February 2017.

BASEAK team, led by the Managing Partner and the Head of Banking and Finance Practice Barlas Balcıoğlu, included partners Günhan Yalçın and Doğan Eymirlioğlu, Counsel Ceren Su and associates Selahattin Kaya and Cemre Demirkaya.
